Thames Water asks creditors for another £2.4bn. Up to 30% of TW revenue covers financial costs. Debt spiral deepens problems, it borrowed to pay dividends. Hedge funds funding TW, hoping to asset-strip, hike bills, govt bailout. Let it go bust. Nationalise permanently.

Allowing this dead-company-walking to be bailed out again, instead of taking it into Special Administration and then permanent public ownership, would be a disgrace and a betrayal by the Andy Burnham government Enough is enough.

Ofwat is making Thames Water pay back *£2.87* to each household for dumping sewage Compare this to the *£176* privatisation of water costs each household EVERY YEAR If they want to help, then they must deliver public ownership. Our report explains how. Send it to your MP: vist.ly/5nqu9

LBC's Matthew Wright confessed to being 'a bit wobbly' on the case for public ownership of water. So we told him. 1/3 of your water bill is dribbling out to service debts and line shareholder pockets. That's money that could be reinvested in improving the service. Public ownership's a no-brainer.
