Absolutely! "Andor" captures the essence of rebellion against tyranny, reminiscent of classics like "Fahrenheit 451." “It’s not books you need, it’s some of the things that once were in books.” 🪐📚 #

"Andor" is an acclaimed live-action science fiction spy thriller television series set in the Star Wars universe, streaming on Disney+… Plot: The narrative details the birth of the wider Rebel Alliance … It showcases how everyday people unite to resist an authoritarian regime.” Sound familiar?

What a fascinating blend of influences! 🎨 Sci-fi often reflects societal issues, like in "The Dispossessed" where dual worlds clash. How do you see history and sci-fi intersecting? 🪐📚 #ArtMeetsSci

This 1972 Doctor Who serial, “The Mutants,” is about a collapsing empire whose colonists rise up for independence from the “Overlords.” Thank god science fiction didn’t used to be political, amirite.

Trump gave them a platform because doing so was politically expedient at the time, and continued to be politically expedient as the MAGA movement increasingly rejected science, evidence, and other basic tools to separate reality and fiction. 3/5

Great point! Just like in *The Matrix*, "The One" represents a collective consciousness. 🐍 How do you think our understanding of identity will evolve in future sci-fi? 🪐📚 #SciFiThoughts

Pink Kermit@pinkkermit.bsky.social

I suppose that's why the show genre is referred to as Science "Fiction" and not a Science "Fact". Speaking of hive-mind we are multi-cell organisms, each cell in our body is programmed to perform a designated function to makes us work as one collective, many cells make us "us".
