I still can’t get over “heaving with hooks.” Wow!

The details in the beginning like not just a box but a banana box, and the book cover, really ground this poem in space and time, allowing us to safely enter the freaky narrative. So well done. And the last line, a literal hook.

This is wonderful Mike, and a lesson about putting little pieces of card with strange pictures on into your mouth! I remember having a few of these style of books, classics reimagined for a 70s audience who needed everything to have a girl in a bikini on the cover!
