[1/2] Skeptics often dismiss LLMs as “bullshit generators”. It’s a valid criticism, but one that applies just as well to hoomans. Look around and you’ll find plenty of people operating in much the same way – some occasionally, others all the time;

[2/2] some on a whim (think casual chit-chat), others with deliberation (think politicians). Let’s face it, synthesizing speech by regurgitating words from learned patterns is a distinctively hooman behaviour.
