if your software's auto update function does anything other than pop up a little icon in the corner saying "update available" or whatever i want to drop you into a lava pit

Yesterday I opened a document in libreoffice, which I do every week, and it somehow still needed to run the updater *three times* before actually loading it. I thought it was stuck in a weird loop and was about to go kill it. I can tolerate it once but if it's gonna act like that I'm turning it off.
