Are you kidding? Republicans or trumplicans as I call them, were stepping around this nomination. Trump more than likely told Gaetz to withdraw so Trump isn’t humiliated when the vote came. The one sure thing is any nominee of tRumps will not be honest or ethical and will always put Trump first.

Nice to see the GOP isn't going to rubber stamp everything. I hope they don't see this as the exception that proves the rule though, and then accept all the rest.

Looks like a setback for Trump's plan to fill his administration with loyalists. It’s also the first hint that some Republicans might push back on controversial picks with questionable backgrounds.

He wanted to spend more time pursuing teenagers

He knew that there's plenty that would come out

This is not a minor development.

One win down. Next, the dude for DOD.

What happens to his seat in congress? Will there be a special election since he resigned? The balance of the House could come into play.

I guess he didn't want to sit in the hot seat.

Now would be a very good time to arrest citizen Matt Gaetz. There is already an FBI report on his illegal activity with minors. And then there are the actual assault/rape victims. And his buddy doing time in Florida And even the unreleased House Ethics report Ample criminal evidence

The fakker is gone

Matt Gaetz will return to (p)lay a minor role

All of them are not qualified ALL the others needs to withdraw their nominations as well.

And hardly the last one, too.
