I don't answer the phone (I no longer have a smartphone) or email anymore since I am retired. I have gone from the corp life to the forest monk life except an hour or two per day on a 6 year old PC. I don't miss a thing except online banking. I am more present than ever.

I think maybe we've gone past the point where technology is useful to us as human beings.

That kinda stands to reason and I feel like they neglected to account for the baseline human personality possessing empathy. Recruit a willing sociopath to go head to head against an AI agent and let's see those results.

It will agree with everything you say and be the good buddy. Maybe even flatter you a bit. Just like any con. Will never replace a human therapist or friend that really loves you.

I bet there's a limit to the depth of trust that can be created in general, unlike in humans.

Yeah, this is all gonna work out just fine.
