Almost all of the viral posts reviewed by WIRED came from accounts with blue check marks, meaning they pay X for its premium service and could be eligible to earn money based on how much engagement their posts generate, even if the content is false. wrd.cm/4aYONte

Seems like shutting down Twitter (x) would be a good move. Since they take no responsibility for the deception flowing on their infrastructure.

It's useless for breaking news. I'm looking now for updates and comments. It's still ok for that. You have to know what you're doing to use Twitter. Ignore mis/dis-info like you do ads and spam, keep focused on the information you want, then verify it yourself. There is no single source for news.
