SCOOP: From the beginning of Trump’s administration, DOGE had a plan to monitor USAID payments and was preparing to use US Treasury systems to halt them, according to new court documents, emails, and affidavits obtained by WIRED.

Early on, Musk called USAID a “criminal organization” and said it was “time for it to die.” Today, Musk’s loyalists at DOGE have infiltrated dozens of federal agencies, pushed out tens of thousands of workers, and siphoned millions of people’s most sensitive data. The next step: Unleash the AI.
