“RISC architecture is gonna change everything,” Angelina Jolie’s character said in the 1995 cult classic film “Hackers.” Incredibly, Jolie was absolutely right—and her prediction might be even truer today than it was then. www.wired.com/story/angeli...

It's not Jolie's prediction...it's her character's prediction, as written for her by the movie's writers. Please give credit is due. (And this isn't meant as an insult to Jolie or her intelligence, so don't @ me. I just want to see writers get their due.)

This is very weird. Why are you crediting Angelina Jolie for a prediction that wasn't even hers? She gets credit for delivering a line for her character written by, you know, the writers of Hackers.

The vast majority of people everywhere, who use tech built on it every single day, still don’t know what in the computer-geek hell a RISC architecture even is. Maybe you, reading this, don’t know either. But you should. www.wired.com/story/angeli...

RISC stands for “Reduced Instruction Set Computer.” When it emerged in the 1980s, it set off a bloodbath as its creator fought to prove it was faster and more useful than other, more complex languages. And it won—twice. www.wired.com/story/angeli...
