He’s fantastic, such a great reply-however this is what this administration wants-they will keep the shutdown in place until after election results are in and will decide what to do after they find out if they still maintain their majority positions-if GOP loses their majority 🤷🏻

those are the mechanics of the situation, it's true. more immediately, though, this is about a reporter asking dumb questions with a skilled politician reframing on the fly and in the moment. a talent we desperately need, particularly with dumb repubs stinking up/dominating airwaves

Thanks for posting this here. Saw this yesterday, and Joe does such a nice, measured and accurate job with this question and this reporter. It is hard to believe that one CO district has this guy in Congress, when another has Boebert.

In the 1st question of his brief interview with Mamdani. Anderson Cooper reports Trump’s strongman threats to punish NYC if the Mayoral candidate is elected, as if he gets to select where funding goes according to his whims, & then asks whether voters will find it “worth the hassle” to vote for him.
