It took some time, but the first (test) batch of stickers have been created! The borders still need work, the cutting machine made them very inconsistent buttttt I'm happy with the print quality!

I want to give a massive thank you to both @antfu.me and @e18e.dev for sponsoring me 💙 I will now do the most financially responsible thing I can think of, and pop out to buy a laminator 🫡

Don't worry, I'm also still making badges! Got the cutting machine on that too, I think you can probably tell which ones I cut by hand...

For those interested, I'm printing the stickers onto a matte vinyl sheet then putting a matte cold laminate on by hand with a felt squeegee (effectively just a sticky plastic sheet to protect it). I'd also like to spray the vinyl with a UV spray in the future to protect it

I picked up an Epson EcoTank 2950 for this, as well as a Brother ScanNCut CM300. Cricut is the most popular cutter, but I've tried hard to avoid proprietary software and so the Brother one can scan the print out to know where to cut. It is a bit off a faff though with stickers that don't have-

an outline that's different to the paper colour, so I had to add a thin border to the npmx word sticker (zoom on the picture) and then tell the machine to cut inwards from that by 1mm to remove it - it took quite a few monochrome regular paper prints to figure that out

Also I couldn't find any FOSS software that can pack the stickers efficiently on the sheet so I unfortunately had to get a clanker to create a CLI using this box packing python library to layout the SVGs then use another CLI to turn that into a PNG to print
