10x faster... by not being JavaScript. Anyone that's using JS at build time, or server-side, or any places that JS just isn't optimised for, should really take note of Anders' explanation of why Go is so much faster.

It's a bit of a shame they couldn't make a subset TypeScript -> WASM/native compiler just for TSC purposes. Having TypeScript written in another language than TypeScript is still a reminder that will JS ever get threading etc. support? Maybe not, but they could've built V8 extensions just for TSC.
