Web serial is wicked. If I were doing this, I’d create a Serial2 communication from some pins of the ESP32 so you can still use the existing serial, strap that to the roomba and then host a custom web server on the ESP to receive HTTP api commands on the network. My eBay search will be Roombas now…

Sick! I'd put that package in my project just to see how long it'd live in production with no one questioning it!

Web Serial API is seriously awesome, I've been working on a vending machine software integration using it lately. I can't even imagine being able to do that even a few years ago, just in the browser...
