As a former dog trainer I highly recommend you teach him to Stop and Come directly to you under all conditions. This is life saving! You're doing a great job. He's happy and very willing to do as you ask. PS: Not just indoors but outdoors is critical

Like watching my old lady when she was a pup. Had to experience the trick two times and she'd know it, and she'd repeat a hundred times to appease me She's now 14, quite deaf and, after reaching her tenth year, much too old and independent to deal with my shit anymore I love her so much!

An important "trick" for all dogs to learn is to sit and stay until its owner motions for him to come forward. This "trick" has saved lives!

When I was little, we had a black poodle a little bigger than Waylon, but just as energetic, just as smart. It turned out that he was the only dog I was able to have, when in my 20s, I came down with severe asthma and allergies, no animals allowed. But I was lucky, he was the very best boy.❤️

My Beans, yes that’s her name, is a MaltiPoo. Smart as a whip and sassy. We have literal conversations. She “answers” questions, uses different woof inflections. Not very good at tricks, way too stubborn.

Record a learn to read book about animals and teach him to read while you play it

Of course, but some dogs absolutely love to learn new tricks and tasks. Mine gets so excited when she does something I ask that she prances around excitedly. This dog clearly is having fun! It’s enriching for many dogs.

That's so adorable ❤️❤️❤️ I'm trying to teach Hunter to "whisper." He looks at me like he's saying, "I'm an old dog. You ain't gonna teach me anything." Hunter's about 8 1/2 LOL He was found when he was about 6mths. My poor baby had Lyme Disease. So he can do whatever he wants for the most part 😍😍

I think Waylon's impressive skillset, particularly mastering Microsoft Excel at just 7 months old, warrants a rating of at least 15/10, if not higher.
