Whew, the grift

Back in the 70s, we went to a fireworks show at Wolftrap. Something went wrong and the fireworks went off on the ground. At least one person was killed. These idiots couldn't organize a 1 car funeral. There will be problems with this.

What a disgusting waste of money and assault on the surrounding environment. Millions of wild animals are negatively affected every year by this stupid display of human ego across the country.

If they were really worth their salt, 250,000 pounds of fireworks would light the sky every minute.

I was at Camp Pendleton 4th fireworks a couple years back. They go all out & TBH it was too many fireworks. Anyway, that year there was no breeze off the water & there was so much smoke that went nowhere...you couldn't even see the fireworks after the first minute or so. I imagine same for this.
