🚀 The latest VS Code release brings interactive canvases for agent workflows, chat handoffs without losing context, and new ways to edit Markdown. 🧵 Here’s what’s new: code.visualstudio.com/updates/v1_142

🎨 Create your own canvas or choose from pre-built canvas extensions to work with your agent in new ways. Plan tasks on a Kanban board, track implementation progress, and explore more ways to work together through interactive canvases!

🔄 Move chats to another folder or Git worktree without losing context. In the Agents window, move a chat to a separate workspace for implementation while keeping your conversation history intact.

📝 Explore new ways to edit Markdown in VS Code! Paste images directly into your document, rename file links throughout your content, navigate headings with Outline and breadcrumbs, and copy code blocks without accidentally editing them.

🛡️ Give your organization more control over agent permissions in VS Code. Enterprise admins can enforce sandboxing policies and control which permission modes developers can use, including allowing Assisted Approval while blocking Allow All.
