Claude disagrees with me though, “If you were designing a VCS for agents from scratch, you’d probably end up somewhere close to git’s data model, just with a less hostile UX on top.”, and is probably right that it’s the workflows and stuff on top that aren’t keeping up

you should! if you ever used svn or hg you'll feel familiar. it's a much simpler UX than git imo and jj is like a platform for your personalized workflow
