Beyond vite dev and vite build, you'll be able to run commands such as: ◆ vite test (Powered by @vitest_dev) ◆ vite lint (Up to 100x faster than ESLint) ◆ vite format (upcoming formatter, aiming for 99%+ Prettier compatibility with more flexibility)

◆ vite new (Scaffolding for new projects & code gen, including support for running custom code generators) ◆ vite lib (Library bundling with @rolldown_rs and tsdown) ◆ vite ui (GUI devtools for your whole project) ◆ vite run (Intelligent monorepo task runner with caching)

Vite+ will be free for individuals, OSS, & small businesses. We plan a flat fee for startups and custom pricing for enterprises. Our goal is to capture a portion of the value Vite+ creates at scale and reinvest it into the open source projects that power Vite+.

Something we were wondering at work (a very much for-profit place), was how this will work for "commercial open source projects". Roughly speaking, projects that benefit only the company releasing them, but that happen to be open source. Just putting it on the radar :)

Speaking out load, I am not sure about the enterprise pricing. My manager would just say we don't have the budget or couldn't get an approve from the upper management and we would continue to use what is free and glue with custom code.

Fair point. End of the day is the juice worth the squeeze? Vite+'s value prop is that the dev time saved from configs, dependency management, security review, etc is worth more than the price. Since that time can be used on features & generating biz value instead

For us I think it will depend on pricing. Our enterprise is crying out for build chain consistency and standardisation - efforts to do it in-house or by convention have only been semi-successful. I'm excited to see more and have high trust in the VoidZero team.

your company is irrelevant if even a tiny percentage of other companies are interested. Hoping for sponsorship system has never been sustainable, companies will profit billions off of oss blood sweat and tears without batting an eye
