My partner once did jury duty and told me the comprehension/knowledge level of pretty much every other juror was *frighteningly* poor. e.g. it was opined that "I believe what the prosecution says - they're police etc., they can't be lying, it must be 100% true!".

It’s a dangerous reality that creates contempt for those who do know better, worsening the situation. The line is so slim that even benevolence is a bad thing here, imo. But, the other problem is that it needs to be said!!!!
