My last kitty was such an angel. She never knocked items off the table.

My cat goes outside thru a kitty flap. She doesn’t do any of these naughty things, because she can hunt. There are dangers outdoors, but also inside. She seems content.

There can be no spillable water containers near the bed. Our cat only knocks those down. Ignores the air tight ones. They know what they’re doing. Oh, they know. 😒🙄

I don't know. I totally get dogs. Cats are an utter mystery to me. I had one cat I understood, but I think he was a reincarnated dog.

Because it's fun?

They're bored. I used to play with my cats to their exhaustion to reduce their shenanigans. Just like dogs, playtime is important. A tired cat is a less destructive cat.
