I was wondering what kind of projector technology they were using on the London Eye. The answer is post processing compositing. Lame!

Really? I've just been searching for an answer myself - was torn as if some of it looked made with limitations but half of me felt it was superimposed. I was hoping it was some sort of LED curtain, but I'd be disappointed if it was all fake.

Turns out it's genuine after all, was created using 'Hologauze'. I am impressed again.

New theory: There *was* hologauze, but it was positioned in front of that specific camera and not attached to the wheel itself. Still lame!

Yep, I've now finally reached the end of that rabbithole too, would have been incredible at scale and draped on the eye itself if at all possible. In front of the camera? Lame.
