This is an important part of the movie but in the context of…worshipping someone with love as if they’re God is not religion it’s delusion and idolatry and her statement about loving each other being the same as God is crazy hubris

She says both she and Billy are engaged in the process of love monument construction for one another each and every day. Further, she has had the realization that the true nature of God may just be love itself. So loving someone with pure blind faith — worshiping someone — is like worshiping God.
