In case you missed it, TypeScript 7 is a complete 10x faster version of the compiler & language server. It's a full port to parallelized native code. It runs faster, uses less memory, and is more stable than ever before.

Today we're thrilled to announce our effort to port the TypeScript compiler and language service to native code, gaining a 10x speed boost in build times and editor responsiveness! devblogs.microsoft.com/typescript/t...

The 10x is real for many projects, and the speed improvements make a huge difference for teams at scale. TypeScript 7 drops time in CI, and minimizes delays in editors like VS & VS Code. That makes every part of the developer inner loop feel snappy.

The new codebase has been battle-tested by many teams (and entire companies) using it in production for over a year now. In fact, in the editor TypeScript 7 is *more* stable than TypeScript 6, with fewer crashes and lower memory usage.

TypeScript 7 has all the editor features you love, like auto-imports, find-all-references, expandable hovers, inlay hints, code lenses, linked editing, semantic highlighting, import sorting, and more. They're just a lot faster now.

With this new version, TypeScript officially supports the language server protocol (LSP). So just pick your favorite editor and enjoy the speed improvements!

The 7 LSP seems to re-format import statements and adds semicolons, which 6 correctly didn’t add (we don’t use them in our project). Probably related to “organize imports”. Is there anywhere I can fine some documentation for the vscode plugin or LSP? Maybe I’m missing some changed config.
