Similar experience I had hunting in 2017. Most companies skipped me because my resume was all self-employed. My side-project at the time had 10K+ users and generated my salary. None cared. Except one! My interview was walking them through my codebase. There was no second interview 😉

whoa.... 1k job applications? 🤯 I'd try to prove your experience w/ side projects or open source. I'd also reach out directly to companies you really love - even if there's no public opening. plus, make sure you craft your cv + letter for the particular role - nothing generic. roe.dev/ama #ama
