What a farce! No democratic or independent senator should vote for cloture or this CR. Let the republicans defend their own disaster of a budget. It’s all on them and needs to stay on them!!!!

Schumer is literally Jar Jar Binks in Episode II.

It was a hard choice but i can see his reasoning. Yes it would have FELT GOOD to shut them down but I can see in the end this is prob best. There are no good options.

Chuck: “Screw Alderaan.”

🏆 Perfect use of the jar jar binks meme

This is good.

"Right now Emperor Palpatine owns all the chaos of blowing up the Core planets"

Yup

Look, once they finish building this Death Star, and blow up a couple planets, we think it's going to result in a really good midterm, maybe enough to retake the House, and those sweet committee chair spots.

Re-reading this, and I cannot get the Beastie Boys out of my head. Intergalactic planetary.

💔

You should listen to the Star Wars radio broadcast. The Alderaan scene has more layers on the radio.

I made a post about what liberals would be doing in the Star Wars universe once:

The Law is Dead! Corruption won! Fascism will finish the job unless millions who live and breathe liberty and justice for all finally come to the rescue equipped with the truths @patricklovell13.bsky.social has been delivering all along. See our website. patricklovellpresentsthecleannewdeal.com

Senator Jar Jar Binks: wow!!! I now I understand my father

Think about how many jobs will be lost on the death star, those people have families too!

The desirability of this strategy sort of depends on which planet you're from.....
