(Also, I’m going to learn to play “Magic: The Gathering” just to figure out why half the cards in my complimentary preview deck are basically the exact same card: “Basic Land – Forest.”)

Very basically the land cards give you an ability point per card. The usable cards all require different amount of ability points to play them, so the land is your source of energy.

They’re resource generators. You can play one land card on your turn. Tap one (turn sideways) to draw one mana of the Color listed to spend on other cards. They recover at the start of your turn.

I understood about 82 percent of that! 🤣 (But very helpful!)
