I get what Twitch intended with Watch Streaks but I'm so grateful to streamers who have disabled them. For me it adds a level of stress & urgency that isn't good for my mental health. I feel it takes advantage of those of us with slightly obsessive mindsets. I wish I could disable them as a viewer.😔

I'm always mixed on watch streaks it can be a fun thing for people to do together but also can be a bad thing for stress. I do think the best solution would be allowing viewers to opt out. I kind of keep mine since I don't wanna take away people's streaks.

It wasn't an easy decision for me to disable mine because some people had really high streaks, but once I did, no-one complained about losing theirs & a few people actually said they were relieved I removed them, as it was putting pressure on them. Personal opt-in would be the way forward I think.

There's some neat functions I wish you could get from it without it necessarily being visible viewer-side. Like, the cool thing about it is being able to track that (having a mixitup function that viewers can opt-in with a redeem that is automatically incremented even if you don't redeem it) (1/2)

I've implemented a 'Collectible Card' redeem, with common, rare & mythic cards, which people can engage with if they want, but they aren't going to get bugged with notifications telling them they are about to miss out. I like to think it takes the pressure off. Here's the 1st series of cards:
