ElastiCache served 1.5 quadrillion requests in a single day during Prime Day. I had to look up what comes after trillion 😎 AWS publishes these numbers after every Prime Day and they read like a physics paper. The last full set they put out: • DynamoDB peaked at 151 million requests per second

• SQS peaked at 166 million messages per second • Lambda ran 1.7 trillion invocations a day • EBS did 20.3 trillion I/O operations at peak • Kinesis Data Streams peaked at 807 million records per second • CloudFront served 3 trillion HTTP requests across the week

• Aurora processed 500 billion transactions • SageMaker handled 626 billion inference requests • ECS and Fargate launched 107.1 million tasks a day on average • GuardDuty chewed through 8.9 trillion log events per hour • CloudTrail processed 2.5 trillion events

• Graviton carried more than 40% of the EC2 compute Amazon.com used The part I keep coming back to: it's the same DynamoDB you get with a free tier account. Same API, same endpoints. The numbers are just bigger on their side.
