So nice! How long until Cloudflare has its own OTLP endpoint to collect traces from the front-end and becomes a full observability vendor?

Our focus is going to be on building this out for the foreseeable, but this is definitely something we've thrown around as a future direction. Frontend o11y is a complicated beast though. I need to spend some time exploring what's possible there

Yeah, nobody really wants to use otel in the front end because the bundle impact is awful. Otel architecture was never designed to be small or simple or minify!

I have thoughts here that need a blog post :) I don't think otel's ideas are incompatible with the frontend or that it has to be as big as it is. OTel hasn't moved fast enough here. There is a new SIG working on this though, so maybe!
