The French TTRPG scene is substantial and completely alien to English speaking circles. For all the talk of advancing the art and hobby, shockingly few of my peers know much of anything about JDRs. Or about The Dark Eye and German scene. Let alone anywhere else.

Potentially hot TTRPG take. It's absolutely true we need more RPGs inspired by non European cultures. But we don't need less European RPGs, we need more of those as well. This is especially true of Eastern Europe (where there's few) but it's true of Western Europe. We don't have that currently.

Same in return, from my POV so many niches well underserved. Even just counting my own tastes, not nearly the depth and breadth of games I want. Also mature media is absurdly high volume. Even picking most tiny subgenre fiction niches, one human *couldn't* read them all. We need so much more imo.
