I think it's the poster child for a technology that appears to be super cool and very impressive but doesn't seem to understand humans. This is different from e.g. LLMs which are marketed in a fraudulent way (this includes using chatbot interfaces that pretend to by human-like).

During peak pandemic, I was hanging out with friends EVERY evening, to play laser tag, Minigolf, watch movies together, or to just sit and chat! VR was one of the best purchases I've ever made. There's SO much potential! πŸ˜ƒ But it IS niche, and being run by disconnected billionaire toddlers. 😞

Haha, you're not wrong! 🀣 It's the wild west days of VR, and people's first experiences are usually with BAD hardware (like Google cardboard / other phone based things) OR, BAD software, like putting people on a rollercoaster. I've been VR'ing for near 10 years and I still can't do the coasters.. 🀒
