So when a health insurance company (or any other company or person ftm) says “it’s an AI deciding this” what they really say is “our executive leadership deliberately choose to let an AI decide they fully know is fundamentally flawed”. It always comes back to Weizenbaum’s book from 50 years ago.

So if ai is making decisions, why should upper management and the ceo even get a salary? WTF are they even doing? I worked as in installer for ADT security and I can tell you the upper management was useless. But guess who got year end bonuses?? Not the people who did the actual work, thats who.
