Justice Leonard, responding to a suit brought by Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation and Blood Tribe, finds that since Smith's referendum if successful would bind the government to attempting to separate, the government can't do it without consulting the treaty nations. And they didn't.

This is not rocket science! Smith had no business granting that referendum knowing nothing about the Canadian constitution!! And an even dumber than dumb justice minister who appears not to have read one page of our constitution!
