He really is an absolute scumbag. Like, anyone with eyes and a brain and a shred of decency could see this years, decades ago. But it's more overt now. Almost constant. His being elected president once, much less twice, is a fucking stain on our country.

I recently saw somebody make an observation about these encounters and they noted that he insults, but if the reporter does not back down, he gets stuck. Some of the reporters seem to have figured that out. They are not afraid of him. They stand their ground and he is unable to handle it.

Yes, there's that. But there is a lesson here. Apparently the reporters (the ones who are not sycophants) have figured out how to make it work. That's important for them. But it is also important for us to recognize that he is ratcheting up the insults, but may be getting less effective overall.
