At the VEXAG 2026 meeting in Boulder just now, we've learned that NASA's VERITAS mission has been scheduled for a November 2032 launch. Folks, this is CRAZY good news. Earlier this year we were concerned that NASA would *cancel* VERITAS!

Some important context: NASA had been on the hook for providing a radar for ESA's EnVision mission. That partnership is in the process of being ended now, forcing ESA to look for a radar from within Europe. By flying VERITAS, NASA is still going to acquire cutting-edge radar data for Venus.

I really hope that means adding originally planned NovaSAR radar for Envision with "Sliding spotlight" mode with resolution up to 1 meter on Venus.
