Of course Ed Sheeran's Irish band, Beoga, quit on him after he dropped Macklemore for saying "Free Palestine"! Irish musicians are at the forefront of speaking out against the genocide of Palestine. We covered this here: www.theflytrapmedia.com/censorship-o...

theflytrapmedia.comCensorship of Pro-Palestine Speech in the Music Industry Shows the Power of Demands for DecolonizationThe liberation of Palestine is a threat to how we live today—that’s precisely why we should keep calling for it.

I promise I don't mean this book rec as a well akshually. It's more me observing that lots of Irish people do and have aligned themselves with gross right wingerey. It just makes Sheeran's "not taking sides" look more craven because does he want to not-take-sides his way into a Nazi bar situation?

Among other things it tells you all about how Lord Haw Haw (pro Nazi Irish radio voice in WWII) was slashed in the face by a member of Cumann mBan, the IRA's women's auxiliary. That was a satisfying bit of history to learn!
