As a Canadian it is shocking to me, the level of extreme apathy in America today. "Opps, the voting system isn't fair...? Oh well, I guess this is the end then..." In 2014 the Ukrainian people removed their wanna-be dictator, surely the American people are no less capable of doing the right thing.

There may be apathy by MAGA voters who supported Trump but for the 50-60% of us who didn’t, we are engaged & working our tails off to try to win both houses of Congress to put guard rails up for his last 2 years. Republicans control Supreme Court, Senate & House.

How many Americans would agree with the statement, "It is likely that Trump will use a nuclear weapon on a foreign country before he leaves office." I suspect, too many for comfort. I am sure there are people doing good work. Enough people? Not at all. The apathy is much deeper than only MAGA.

What makes you say we’re apathetic to the corruption here? On the right, yes, as many prioritize their bigotries above all else. But you’re saying this on a very lefty app, where we’re far from apathetic. Oops, the voting system isn’t fair? Oh well? What supports this? I’d really love to know.

When you think you are fighting back and nothing changes, are you really fighting back? Strongly worded comments on X or Bluesky is not fighting back. What should you be doing? Google "What did Ukrainians do in February 2014?" They would not tolerate their Russian puppet and neither should you.

Oh right, I forgot that America and Ukraine are exactly the same. You are blaming us for the way corruption and greed and far worse have taken over our country, so you say we should violently rise up against our government that loves to kills its citizens. Whatever dude. We’re hardly apathetic.

We have the MidTerms Nov 4th. WHEN we Slaughter the GOP and take back the House and Senate, the Fascist Regime will be kneecapped. We will begin to have the power to push back. IF THE ELECTIONS ARE NOT HONORED, IF, GOD Forbid, we DON’T SWEEP the Elections, THEN we will need to find another way….

These are Republicans, regardless of their current status. They want to take over the Democratic Party from within. Let's not forget that their interests and that of the Democratic Party base are _not the same_. {People whine about the DSA, but Republicans are worse. Much worse. For the people.]

America is like Alberta but even less intelligent. How do you think the people of Alberta would fare under the same circumstances with the same task? If they wouldn't do well we will do worse. Right now I am preparing to fight along side Canadians as Americans are about to allow everything.

I tend to view Canadians as better than most Americans, but I keep seeing comments like this that are just beyond insulting! You think the people on this app are stupid? You act as if we’re all just okay with everything. Like we aren’t constantly talking about it and organizing and fighting back.
