Fuck, and I can't stress this enough, that.

Thank god I’ve never been able to say, open my refrigerator door and look inside to see what I have to eat No, I need my fridge to have AI to do that It’s just not a decent appliance if it isn’t poisoning the water supply

Never buy Samsung appliances their garbage LG much better regardless of ai

This is not what I was promised as a child re: THE FUTURE. I would like to return it and get something more interesting please.

If a person buys a thing, and owns it, why does the manufacturer still have access to it? Surely that's breaking some sort of law

A bottle of water to cool that server that tells you your milk is gone.

I'll finally be able to open my refrigerator door!

So there's a non-zero chance I'll come home to find my fridge opened its own doors and my ice cream has melted all over the floor. Yay!

No!

Guess I'll never buy a Samsung refrigerator, then.

Unnecessary. I'm old fashioned. I keep a small, affable community of hobgoblins under the kitchen sink to do all those things for me and more. They don't make much noise, and they don't even eat that much. Nor do they insist on constant "updates".

I remember when I paid extra for a “smart” dryer because “supply chain issues” made that the choice for me. I also remember the “smart” service being stopped before the new washer & dryer even got used. I’m sure this will be as amazing. I’m always wondering why my fridge isn’t more self-sufficient.

Awesome. Was potentially in the market for a new fridge this year, nice to know Samsung can be struck off the list.

No one except the author and Samsung thinks this is “super useful”

Couldn't pay me to use that. Absolutely not.

i don't want my refrigerator talking to me

I have access to pretty advanced technology I call "notepad and pen" I use to create shopping lists.

I love the idea of digital inventory. There has got to be a better way to do it…than AI vision..

Wake me when they finally make the refrigerator self-cleaning
