The rappelling stunts are fairly new. Servicemen have only performed rappelling demonstrations at the University of Texas @ San Antonio (UTSA) annual Salute to Armed Forces and Veterans game for two years. They used to only do salutes. The game was played after kickoff time was delayed by 10 min.
