I'm just back from riding the Agawa Canyon Tour Train: 183 km north from Sault Ste. Marie on the old Algoma Central line, into one of the most magical places in Canada. Peak leaf-peeping season, with the maples blazing red and the birches brilliant yellow. 🚂🧵

Over a century ago, Group of Seven artists bunked in a railcar on Algoma Central sidings. The northern #Ontario landscapes they painted here still shape what we think of as a distinctly Canadian wilderness.
