All the “races” in rural Talladega county, where I’m from, have a hell of a lot more in common with each other than they do to their “races” living in urban Hoover, where I live. And again there are dozens of subcultures in Talladega and Hoover. Racists are simpletons.

Southerners are a distinct culture. But it’s not race based and there are hundreds of distinct subcultures too. Racists are always way too simple in their distinctions. (For a reason. It was never about culture for them it’s about hate).

Thanks for clarifying- I’m always learning. I am not from the south but all of my family is. To me, it’s a complex dynamic, so I try to override the tendency to group people by demographic. I think we learn more if we resist prejudging and just seek the truth.

If they’re a separate ‘nationality’ can have them deported? Pretty sure they don’t have green cards or other legal means of residency.
