I do wonder how heavy these are (my guess it's a shader)

first one already should run 144 Hz on middle-end hardware in VR. The other ones can in theory with some proper baking. I've been going down the rabbit hole of performant + good looking volumetrics for over a year now with @owentheprogrammer.bsky.social and we've got a few more tricks up our sleeve
