I disagree. It's on a spectrum. High amounts of UBI may be unrealistic, but not amounts like $200 to $500 a month.

This shrinks the definition of UBI so much as to be a non-sequitur in conversations that use UBI as a solution to problems like AI, which is what I was referring to

No, the BIEN definition of basic income is "a periodic cash payment unconditionally delivered to all on an individual basis, without means test or work requirement." We debate whether suffiency should be part of it but that is relative. Congrats if $200/mo per household member means nothing to you.

Are you saying that $200 a month would be an appropriate way to offset someone losing their job to ai? The average rent payment in America is roughly 8-10x that.
