I'm by no means saying that I think whatever happened at the WHCD was fake or staged, but I am saying that it is disturbing to acknowledge that it is actually in the realm of possibility that it WAS some harebrained scheme by a drunk/high/stupid advisor to raise the President's approval rating.

Like can you honestly say there's no chance that Kash, half drunk after reading the Atlantic article, didn't come up with this plan to get the heat off him and attempt to make the President sympathetic? I certainly can't.
