What's with this new trend of sending a login codes in an email/txt message, rather than just letting my password manager autofill everything? It takes way longer.

My pet theory is that co's don't want to store password data anymore + OTP auth is simpler to implement than password and MFA auth. I agree though. I don't love it as the only auth option.
