#auspol #housing I get annoyed when politicians say "there is no silver bullet for the housing crisis" . Because there is. . We have to stop treating housing as a wealth generating asset. . People need safe, comfortable, affordable accommodation NOT an investment opportunity.

My solution - Cap all property sales at no more than 4%increase P/A retrospective 5 years. Cap all rents at no more than 4% of property value P/A. It would not kill the market, but cool it way down. Investors would leave in droves opening stock up to new buyers.
