Who knows about DINN power supplies? This is box for external POE cameras, so a POE switch on bottom shelf, upper left is the power supply, surge protection on the camera lines… but something seems sketchy to me to just plug the DINN directly to 120 AC (winging it, weigh in before I start a fire).

My entire career has been designing industrial control panels with these kinds of power supplies. In theory, the power supply has built in overload protection and is probably fine, but it’s good practice to add a breaker inline with the hot main AC like this www.automationdirect.com/adc/shopping...

Also leave another inch or two of clearance between the top of the power supply and the top of the cabinet, they cool passively via convection through the bottom to the top vents, it’ll run hot if it’s too close to the top.

Reason for the DINN, is I didn’t want to use the power brick that came with the switch (DINN is properly voltage matched), because those things will die in heat quickly…) But again, winging it, never done this, just seemed like a better way in my head…
