Polls have closed in B.C.'s provincial election. Elections BC says votes cast in advance will be electronically scanned, so there may be a batch of early results. Votes cast today, however, will be hand counted. We're expecting those results to start to roll in around 9 p.m.

Mail-in votes won't be counted until Nov. 6, so if it's close tonight.... could be a long couple of weeks.

Simon, thanks for all the info. I didn’t know about those votes and I bet many others wouldn’t, too, so much appreciation for that!
