In the latest version of Oxfmt (better prettier replacement): • oxfmt --migrate prettier • oxfmit --init • oxfmt --stdin-filepath for pipe usage • Node.js API • Sort package.json fields by default • Respect root .editorconfig Give it a try: • www.npmjs.com/package/oxfmt

Having a plugin that replaces the formatting engine is not how I think plugins can work. I think they can only add stuff. Besides, what I like about Biome is that its CI job takes 5s, I think oxfmt should attempt to follow in those footsteps. That can't happen if npm install is required.

FWIW I just found out that @prettier/plugin-oxc exists for increasing Prettier parsing speed using Oxc github.com/prettier/pre... oxfmt views it as a stable middle ground for people who are waiting for more features to be added to oxfmt.

I also thought it was only JS/TS, and was very pleasantly surprised, it covers everything I need. I'm glad that we're both now better informed.

I'd also only have only one of them per project. I meant that this parser is intended for those who are not ready to start using oxfmt yet at all (at least in that project), but want to benefit from a little performance boost. But I was surprised that oxfmt supports a number of languages as well.
